1) Renews-Cappahayden Area

Bear Cove Point Road, Renews especially the major alder thickets along the road; this includes the mixed forest vegetation at the start of the road, Bear Cove Point Light grounds and adjacent ocean

Village of Renews especially on the north side

Interior Harbour and Tern Island

South side exterior beach, separating interior harbour from outer harbour, and adjoining low tide flats

Outer harbour

Bear Cove Interpretive Site, Bear Cove beach and ocean, the large gravel pit (opposite)

Alder thicket along old road on the ocean side of Route 10 from 200- 500 m north of Murphy Road, Cappahayden (known as the Cappahayden Track; also major alder thicket on west side of the road about 200 m north of Murphy Road

Murphy Road, Cappahayden, and at the end ATV access track north to Murphy’s Point

Hamlet of Cappahayden, ocean near the Floriziel Monument

Alder thickets on along both sides of Route 10 just south of Cappahayden

2) Chance Cove Provincial Park

Old East Coast Trail: south off access road about 1 km before parking lot (just before speed sign not well signposted) the first 2 kms to a small pond and return (getting overgrown)

3) Village of Portugal Cove South (PCS)

5) Hamlet of Biscay Bay

St Shott’s River lowlands especially the lower section near the estuary

St. Shott’s Sod Farm, about 3 kms after crossing the bridge near mouth of the river

(this site has been inactive in recent years)
